More than 30 local NGOs in South Sudan participated in a one-day Proposal Writing and Grant Management Training held in Juba on Tuesday. The training was organized to strengthen the capacity of emerging civil society organizations to compete for donor funding and improve reporting standards.

Facilitators emphasized practical skills such as developing logical frameworks, budgeting, and aligning project ideas with community needs. Participants said the session was timely, as many organizations struggle with drafting competitive proposals.

The NGO Resource Hub stated that similar trainings will be rolled out to other states to ensure equal access to capacity-building opportunities for grassroots organizations.
